ह्याविषयी अत्यंत तातडीने करायची एक महत्त्वाची कृती म्हणजे केंद्र सरकारच्या ‘पर्यावरण आणि वने’ मंत्रालयाला थोडक्यात आपले प्रतिमत (feedback) पाठवून देणे. ह्याच मंत्रालयाने तज्ज्ञगटाची नियुक्ती केली होती आणि हा अहवाल पूर्णतः किंवा अंशतः स्वीकारणे आणि अंमलात आणणे ही ह्याच मंत्रालयाची जबाबदारी आहे. आपल्याला हे नक्कीच माहीत आहे की जनतेकडून मोठ्या संख्येने प्रतिसाद मिळाला तरच सरकार ह्या अहवालावर कृती करण्यास राजी होईल. अन्यथा, इतर अनेक अहवालांच्या बाबतीत जसे केले गेले त्याचप्रमाणे हा अहवालदेखील विस्मृतीत गाडला जाईल.
The immediate and the most important step to be taken first is to provide our feedback in short to the ‘Ministry of Environment & Forests’ of the Central Government, who had constituted this panel and who are responsible for accepting and implementing, in full or part, the WGEEP report. We know very well that the government will act on this report only if it receives a very large no. of responses from the general public to do so. Else, the report is likely to be dumped into oblivion the way it has been done with so many other reports.
